new phone! haha eat your heart out dan and june meng! XD

I had the distinct feeling my life was going to be considerably shortened when I first held the phone package.

it went like this:

It was a Saturday night. I was at my uncle’s house for my niece Christal’s first birthday (and boy, she’s one cute little baby). My uncle had promised me a new phone to replace my conked old 3100c and had said earlier that I’d get it that night. Anyway my cousins and I were getting ready to leave for Transformers 2 at Sunway Pyramid when I remembered the phone.

Sam Pak, can I see the phone now that you’ve got for me?”

“No problem. Here it is.”

“Oh thanks =)” I took the box and looked it over.

Hey, it looks nice. Hmmm. Green box. Black, slim phone. Nice scree – heywaitaminute!

I looked at the picture carefully again. And then images of freaked Daniel and June Meng flashed through my mind. A grin began to stretch my mouth. Oh, they are so going to kill me.

It was the exact same model as the one they were using: Nokia 3120classic.

Fast forward two days.

June Meng: “Oh, that’s a nice phone. Eh? Oh, no…”

Daniel: “Oh, that just rocks wei.” That familiar expression came over his face, the same one he always used last year when seeing my…irregularities. “Sheesh.“

Of course, by now I’ve already loaded the thing up with songs and stuff – and hey, nice sound, especially coupled with a pair of Apple earphones =) am I being grossly materialistic here? hmmm. hey, God blesses me, I take =) and thank Him.
